ART WAS ALWAYS PART OF THE PRACTICE
Paintings beside exam tables. Photographs along the hall. The former offices tell the story of a practice intertwined with the creative life of downtown New York.

At the historical Mercer Street Medical practice at 77 Mercer Street, some patients bartered artwork for medical services. The practice also brought multiple medical disciplines together under one roof.
The distinctive bandage banner hung over Mercer Street for more than 15 years.
Photographs from the practice archive show former practice locations. Historical services and payment arrangements do not describe today’s practice.
